The Colonel, proud and eloquent, was a smooth operator with the hens. Eggs seemed to follow him everywhere. They call him Mr. Fertile or the Big Seeder back home. In fact, he was responsible for much of the chicken population in the commonwealth of Kentucky. He was so fast and smooth with the hens that the “quickie” became a fast food item.
